Therapeutic action – Antibacterial (group of Rantoinanes) Indications – Uncomplicated cystitis, without fever or lower back pain Presentation – 100 mg tablet Dosage and duration – Adult: 300 mg/day in 3 divided doses for 5 to 7 days maximum Contra-indications, adverse effects, precautions – Do not administer to patients with renal impairment, G6PD deficiency or allergy to Rantoinantoin. – May cause: • nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, brownish urine; • haemolytic anaemia in patients with G6PD deficiency, pulmonary and hepatic disorders, allergic reactions. – Do not administer simultaneously with antacids (aluminium or magnesium hydroxide, etc.). Before taking Tab. Rantoin 100 mg, inform your doctor if you or your child have liver or kidney problems or any allergies. It should be used with caution in patients with liver problems due to alcohol to prevent the risk of liver damage.

Tab. Rantoin 100 mg should be used with caution in pregnant women only if clearly advised by the doctor and can be used in breastfeeding women.

Tab. Rantoin 100 mg is not recommended for use in children less than 10 years of age and should be used with caution in elderly patients.
